They say house music is dead. I say they are wrong. And one shining example of this is a party hosted every Sunday. Legendary dj, DJ Mandrill has started a new chapter within the dance music community. Thumping CLASSICS and some new music . Patrons within the alternative lifestyle community have received this party with excellent fanfare . Attendance has been plentiful and consistant throughout its inception. Opening day May 13, 2007 was a huge success and things are having a “SNOW BALLING EFFECT”.
With music system upgrades, this could be the beginning of something special. The party has an excellent vibe and flow. Nice & Tasteful interiors. I'd give this a two thumbs up! With the changes that have been about in major metropolitan areas i.e. Gentrification and many venues going from “dance” to “lounge” this spot is an excellent blend of old style party with the new and modern updates .

Professional and courteous staff, with excellent service. As you walk upstairs—and once you enter, immediately to your right is the quaint yet intimate dj booth, close to the dance floor. For a much more personal & intimate feel –and- connection with the crowd. To your left opens a display of catered entrees (something to sentuate most pallets). Directly off the booth opens a small yet nice dance area, connecting well to the “well stocked” bar . Flowing around the bar awaits a comfortable seating/lounging area which connects to the alternate side of the bar. This flows back around to the food entrée area. Since this location is off upscale Connecticut & Florida Avenues (and on the 2 nd floor) The Fab Lounge offers a wonderful North West Washington Metropolitan view, off the dance floor As Blaine & Twan of In Living Color” are quoted This party gets 2 SNAPS AND A TWIRL……….. .
