1994 by Derrick Blackburn a.k.a. DJ Odeon for the purpose of entertaining
djs, house heads, and all party people around the world alike.Bringing his sound into mainstream dance markets
for young and old to enjoy was the goal.It’s that
THUMP that grabbed you with it’s BEAT, that GROOVE that moves
you on your FEET.It is that SONG that makes youwanna DANCE , that VOICE that makes you wanna
PRANCE.
Odeon-D’s first release in 2000 “CLUB ODEON
featuring TIA ADE” singing “UNITY” became a huge success
with the support of industry djs including Legendary djs TONY
HUMPHRIES, ROGER SANCHEZ, TEDDY DOUGLAS, RON CARROLL and DOUG
SMITH of 95 NORTH.In
2001 his sophomore release was enlightened with a U.K. remix of
“8th Street Alliance featuring LIZ EVANS” in “DANCIN”
by PROBWERK’s on BRIAN BAKER. Additional remixes were performed
by ANAUD ALLURE of PURE
INSTINCT and Dj GUNTER K of GK SOUND. In
2002 ODEON-D followed up with the smash hits “HAPPYMAN” &
“CENTRAL PARK” off it’s 3rd release “The CLUB ODEON
EP#1” .While HAPPYMAN
became a smash hit in mainstream dance clubs, CENTRAL PARK gained
critical acclaim and notoriety as the UNDERGROUND HIT.With the help of dj JOVONN “CENTRAL PARK” became
one of PARIS’ summer dance floor favorites. After attending MIDEM
2002, DJ Odeon returned to the States with the job of remixing
"Jesus the Man of Action for UK label MOORE Records.
